I am Debbie, the creator and maker at My Kind of Scene.

My lifelong interest in textiles, sewing, renovating and rejuvenating pre-loved items inspired me to create My Kind of Scene.

After many years working in unrelated corporate environments I am relishing the process of creating unique pieces and bringing joy to my customers.

My Kind of Scene brings together the beauty and utility of vintage fabrics. In 2018 I made a bomber jacker for my own wardrobe from a vintage kimono. It was the wider appreciation of that jacket that led to this enterprise. In the early days I also designed tee-shirt and fabric prints, manufacturing a small range of tops. As a one person business, I quickly decided to focus on producing a smaller range of products that are uniquely special.
My mission is to deliver products that look beautiful and are a pleasure to wear.
